The Bay Baits Inshore Classic
Join us for the Inaugural Bay Baits Inshore Classic the weekend of May 19th and 20th 2018. The tournament kicks off with a Fishing Seminar Tuesday, May 15th at 5:30pm at The Bay for fisherman interested in learning the latest tips and techniques from local experts. Thursday, May 17th at 5:30 we will host a captains meeting and dinner at The Bay. At 6:00am on Saturday May 19th, the tournament kicks off. Weigh-ins will be at Bay Baits Continuously from 6-6pm on Saturday and and Sunday durning the tournament. The tournament ends with an after party and awards ceremony at Bay Baits on Sunday May 20th from 4-7pm.
Registration is $35 per angler, and a tournament t-shirt is included. A portion of tournament proceeds will be donated to Coastal Conservation Association of South Walton. Email info@thehivecreativeconsulting.com for information about sponsorship opportunities.

2018 Tournament Rules & Regulations
- This is an Angler Tournament.
All anglers must be paid and registered prior to midnight, Friday, May 18th.
No refund of entry fees.
- Eligible Species: Trout and Redfish
- Tournament is to be held within the limits of Choctawhatchee Bay.
- Fishing starts at 6:00am Saturday, May 19th, 2018.
No lines in water prior to this time.
- All fishing and angling methods must comply with current Federal, State and U.S.C.G. safety and fishing regulations.
- Fish must be caught by hook and line.
Hand held rods and reels only.
- One angler must hook, fight and bring fish up to point of net.
- Eligible fish may be caught by land, boat, paddle board or Kayak.
- No rotten or mutilated fish will be weighed.
- All fish will be weighed in at Bay Baits and must be brought in by boat or car.
- Weigh in will begin Saturday at 6:00am and will be continuous over the weekend during Bay Baits store hours, which are 6:00am to 6:00pm. Anglers must be in line by 5:30pm to be eligible to weigh fish.
- Any fish being weighed in containing lead or any other foreign matter will be subject to disqualification as determined by the weighmaster. All fish need to be properly cared for.
- Tie -- In the event of a tie, the angler who weighs first wins (broken by time).
- Tournament Winners Must Be Present at Awards to Receive Winners Prizes.
- The Honor System applies throughout the entire tournament.
- If there should be a dispute of any kind, the decision of the Tournament Director will be final.
- It is up to the discretion of the registered angler to determine whether his or her craft (if fishing from boat) is seaworthy for existing weather conditions. Participants are encouraged to keep abreast of any marine or weather warnings.
- We encourage the live release of all fish not needed for the tournament.
- All decisions of the tournament committee and weighmaster are final.
- Fish can be dead or alive, can be on ice but not frozen solid.
Fresh caught fish on ice.
